
The Data Protection Commission (DPC) is a statutory body established under The Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).
Vision
To protect the privacy of the individual and personal data by regulating people, processes and technology.
Mission
A public agency whose legal mandate is to ensure the responsible and accountable processing of the personal data of all living individuals, in compliance with legal requirements, as the regulator in Ghana.

Raise individuals' awareness of their data-protection rights; make Ghana a trail-blazer for data protection in Africa; establish an independent, operational and sustainable Commission; increase the number of accountable data controllers; and deliver high, consistent standards in the processing of personal data.
