The Ada West District is one of the 260 MMDAs in Ghana and among the 29 in the Greater Accra Region, in the south-eastern corner of the country. Carved out of the former Dangme East in 2012 (L.I. 2129) with its capital at Sege, it covers about 323.72 sq. km and had a 2010 census population of 59,124.
